The new administration of President Enrique Peņa Nieto has declared that the government will investigate the Mexicana Airlines bankruptcy and will find those responsible, in parallel with restructuring the airline. In February 19 the Mexico's attorney general's office asked a federal judge to issue an arrest warrant for former owner and president Gaston Azcarraga Andrade, in connection with suspected money laundering while he ran the company Mexicana.
