B737 Communications

Hello guys,

Some questions about the 737 communications.

1) About the service and flight Intercom, do I need to select one of the switches of the transmitter selector? Or no can I speak with the other pilot or the flight attendant who call just by setting the push to talk switch to the I/C position on the ACP?
If I let the push to talk switch to the neutral position, then i will need to use service or fly intercom transmitter selector to transmit, is that correct?

2) What about the push to talk switch positions ( MIC, OFF, INT) on the control wheel? Does that work the same way?

3)In flight for example, what are the positions selected for the push to talk switches on the ACP and control wheel?

4)What is the Offside tuning? How does that work?

5)Can you give me explanations about the USB ( upper side band) and the differences with the AM ( amplitude modulation) and in what conditions would you choose one over the other one?

Thanks
