I would say go to Oxford or CTC or do nothing. If you want a job this is your best bet. I understand the cost issue, but you are proposing to invest in order to find an airline job. Rightly or wrongly the market seems stitched up by CTC and Oxford, so if want the best chance of a job you need to choose one of them.
Yes not everyone will agree, it is your money, it does not affect me but I am giving you the truth. Everyday I fly with ex CTC and Oxford guys whilst our dispatchers, all modular guys, cannot find anything. These guys have no money to renew their IR's or keep up the hours, the whole thing has been a waste.
It is a shame, I did the modular route and it worked nicely. But things are different now. Sadly there are no shortcuts in aviation.
