It's a mixture of:
(a) People like Handysnaks getting older and grumpier
(b) Changing times - people are more "enquiring/challenging"
(c) Pprune is much much bigger now and more people are aware of it. Hence the increasing activity (and associated eclectic mix of responses)
But the fabric remains intact - methinks............no?
