When you send the VR, make sure you see 'SENT' in the bottom left corner of the screen. If not then perhaps follow it up with a remark on the traditional paper VR, to highlight a potential problem?
On at least a couple of occasions, I have filled in the electronic version and send it and the paper copy has been generated. However, 'SENDING' remains in the bottom left corner of the screen. Were those reports ever sent is the million dirham question?!
I personally don't think they were.
