For a special occasion we used a water taxi. Very nice but it didn't bring us any views etc that the water bus would have. We probably docked a little nearer to our hotel than the bus would have but given that the hotel was not on a navigable canal we still had a short hike. However, where I think the taxi did score was that he pointed us up the correct alleway!
