I was under the impression that the UK-China bilateral agreement (which at present does not allow any more SCHEDULED flights between the two countries) needs to be re-negotiated before any UK airport (including LHR!) can have additional services to China. I therefore doubt that governmental approval has been given for regular scheduled flights into EDI from China, unless China has already recognised Scotland as independent from the UK.......charters, like those at BHX in July are however are perfectly possible right now
