I think you are onto something.
I imagine the company were ready to discuss a modest single digit pay deal and modify the RPs to reflect the new AFTLs. They were greeted by a NC saying, we want a multi-digit payrise, a complete new pay structure based on a negotiated ratio of pilots to aircraft, guaranteed minimum hours per month, a rig system and a PBS where everyone gets the roster they want.
I might be wrong, but how would any of us know if that wasn't the case. The picture I paint contains ideas promoted by the NC in past 6 months and the latest update told us nothing as to what the NC has been at the table negotiating for.
Kept in the dark and feed on billsh!t springs to mind.
