KA Selection details. Details from knowledgeable sources have indicated that the KA process looks like the following.
KA Stage 1(Initial Medical Checkup) You will be invited to attend a brief medical check up which tests, weight/height and eyesight at a medical practice in Central.
Standards expected:
The candidate has healthy BMI.
Vision that can be corrected to 20/20.
You have normal Color Vision.
KA Stage 2(Computer Pilot Appitude test) You will be invited to play some computer games in KA house with the joystick. Tasks include:
Keep the cursor in the center.
Quick maths questions, is 924 - 4 = 920 true?
Keep check of the pattern etc etc.
Do all 3 above at the same time.
This test is much harder than the Cathay Pacific one.
KA Stage 3 (1st Interview)
KA Stage 4 (2nd Interview + Numeracy + Group Exercise)
KA Stage 5 (Flight grading)
Question 1: What are the vision requirements ?
From previous discussion in the forums, It is generally thought that requires that a cadet's vision be correctable to 20/20. Eyeglasses are allowed.
Corrective eye surgery is however not recommended.
CX is belived to require normal color preception. Color vision for CX is belived to be measured with the Ishihara Test for color blindness. Examples

Question 2: CX cadet program Hong Kong Residence Requirements. What is a Hong Kong permanent residents?
