MEP and IR(ME) EXAM IN SAME FLIGHT

Almost the same question but I just want to ask if some one can tell me were can I find the legislation that says I can do it.
The situation is this: I'm doing the MEP course and the IR(ME) renewal. I have the vfr training already done (6h) and the training of IR(ME) (3h). Now I just have to do the flight checks.
The question is if I can do the MEP check flight and the IR(ME) renewal in the same flight? Some one told me that I could do it. The only thing is that the flight has to have the minimum duration of 01:45. Can any one confirm this, and if so were can I find it on legislation?
P.S.: I never had the MEP. I'm doing it now to be able to renewal the IR(ME).
