I suggest 2 routes:
1. Get ANY job at the airport and build up contacts to THE job you want.
2. Consider joining the RAF, as regular or reserve, as a flight ops assistant. You'll do ops jobs and air traffic towers - build up some experience, see a few bit of the world, drink beer and have fun in the middle. This isn't a guaranteed route to a civvy job outside, but it's a head start and can be fun in the mean time.
