NONE OF THEM HAVE THE FAINTEST IDEA ABOUT AIRLINE OPERATIONS OUTSIDE THE 'EASY' BITS LIKE LOUNGES AND FANCY SEATS.
AND UNIFORMS.
2. Qantas staff despise management.
This is a bit unfair to those managers that prefer a bit of elbow room to operate efficiently rather than have to worry about stepping on the toes of their peers all the time. I've been in a situation as both a manager and unwilling participant on the board (to appease the client on a $900m project) where the ratio was almost 4 managers to 1 worker (vertical silos and horizontal silos and other management BS). It was a horrible work environment not helped by the obscene salaries of so many unqualified managers cemented into their w@nk roles. It was quite absurd how real progress was made which bore little resemblance with what was discussed at the board meetings.
I know by experience that Qantas is in the same management sh!t hole.
