Thanks. Had no idea HF ACARS would be used by an airline such as this.
I don't know whether or not they would use it - but the HF ACARS system exists in that region.....
HF voice comms is (
AFAIK), commonplace for aircraft flying over ocean routes where VHF comms coverage is not available - I have listened in many times to the HF traffic for south-east Asia.
