Valiant accident - 6th May 1964

On Wednesday 6th May 1964 Vickers Valiant WZ 363 of No 207 squadron based at RAF Marham suffered a catastrophic technical failure which led to the loss of the aircraft and the deaths of the 5 man crew at Market Rasen.

The names of the crew are memorialised on a plaque at the railway station in Market Rasen. On 11th May of this year their loss will be remembered by a 50th anniversary ceremony to be attended by relatives, friends and squadron colleagues in the station itself. (
