And so we have to ask, "Whose fault is it that the British Armed Forces are undermanned and under equipped"? and what do they propose to do about it?
Most of the planning of the past twenty five years has clearly been totally off target looking at scenarios that have not occurred and dismissing the ones that have. Hopefully lessons have now been learned, obsolete doctrine abandoned and we won't be asking our troops to take on too much with too little. Some hopes!
