The point of my previous post was to highlight the disparity between JQ and QF staff to airframe ratios, using two full service international airlines of various sizes as yardsticks. I threw in Virgin as an afterthought, mainly because they are the main competition and have a mixed fleet of widebodies, narrowbodies and regionals, as well as a LCC.
I know Virgin & Tiger contract out work. Remember VA started life as a LCC like JQ claims to be. Even so, leaving Tiger out of the Virgin equation, yields 89 staff per airframe vs JQ 60 per airframe vs redtail 129 per airframe vs the yardstick of 105 per airframe.
