The timetable now seems to be set to 31 January 2015; for LGW that means from July 2014 to January 2015 2x weekly FLL, 2x weekly LAX and 3x weekly JFK. In 2015 only one B788 wil be delivered (the 8th and the last of the 787-8 to be delivered), and I doubt this one will be used to open up BKK from LGW. This last 787-8 will most probably being used to increase frequencies on existing routes. After that six 787-9 will arrive between 2016 and 2018, two each year. These will most probably used on the heavier existing routes and free up older 787-8 to open up new fields.
But Norwegian seems to have a more immediate fleet problem - all four of their B788s to be delivered in 2014 are caught up in the wing micro cracks issue. Is this why the delivery of first of them (EI-LND) has been delayed?
