The writing is on the wall.

I have been following this issue very closely from an outsiders point of view and unfortunately have been watching question time in Parliament every day and there is no way the Government or Qantas will get it's way in it's current form .
It seems to me to be increasingly likely that the only possible outcome short of an unlikely Australian Consortium buying Qantas is for the Federal Government to buy it back.
The Govt. won't / can't give a Debt guarantee ,don't have any chance of getting a change of the QSA through the Senate so really all that's left is to buy the Airline or let it sink.
It is highly unlikely to let it sink so Mr Abbott can throw his hands in the air and say that the ALP and Greens won't help and have forced his hands so now he has no choice but to buy it back and can blame them for the cost of doing so.
That way they can give Qantas the Debt Guarantee as it is then for their own Government Airline and Virgin can't object.
As Joe Hockey said " they were dragged kicking and screaming into this " and they will say the same thing and reluctantly buy it back.
It would get support from all sides except Virgin and any level headed person.
Methinks this is the most likely outcome.
Interesting times ahead !!!!!!!!!!!!
