The first three minutes of the video link below are of interest, but beg one question. When the carbon tax goes and leaves a AUD $200, 000,000 (ish) hole in the bucket, how will that lost revenue be replaced and by whom? If the airlines were in good shape, would the normal tax levies cover (increased revenue) some of it, or would the airlines simply loose the money internally to fuel the low yield merry-go-round?? Could support for the removal of this tax be part of the quid pro quo for 'assisting' an ailing industry? Devious games these fellahin play.
