I agree with Trossie on this. Let me first say that I am a Scot living in England so don't have a vote but I am very much against independence. As Trossie says, the sentiment down here is that anyone who actually thinks it through does not want Scotland to leave the UK - it would diminish the UK as a whole. However if Scotland does leave IT IS ON ITS OWN. The idea that it can have some sort of "pick and mix" independence will not be tolerated down South; if you don't want to stay with us, so be it, but don't think you can just pick and choose what to keep and what to reject. There will also be a re-alignment of the off-shore border so Scotland may find it hasn't got as much oil as it thinks.
