With 25 + years in commercial aviation, and still an active part time instructor, I have seen no correlation between having a degree and getting hired for pilots only holding a CPL. I have a Bachelor of Science degree ( not honours though

) and it certainly never had any impact on any job I have ever been hired for.
The biggest factor in getting a job as a lower time pilot was personal contacts plus some luck in being at the right place at the right time.
The contact will get you in the door then it takes hard work and a good attitude to succeed.
