We are planning to mark this at Cockpit-Fest 2014 at Newark Air Museum on the 14th & 15th June...

It's already shaping up to be a Great turnout with some of her former Air & Ground crews coming along to help mark her 60th over the weekend and keep the Canberra story alive...

Pilot Nat Hagger has offered to spend the weekend with us to help show the public in 779's cockpit and tell the story of flying this Great Aircraft...

Pilot Ken Norman will be along over the weekend to visit the Aircraft he also once flew...

Engine guy Paul Anderson (Chunky) has worked on 779 many times Ex-13 And 100 Sqn...

Pilot Paul McDonald, Author of Winged Warriors - The Cold War from the Cockpit...

You can meet the Author alongside 779 over the weekend... If you already have the book bring it along with you and get it signed by the Author...

779 is featured in his book and tells the story of the first sortie flown by XIII Squadron to locate and photograph Kiev and her two escorts, a Kara Class cruiser and a Krivak Class destroyer. Kiev had entered the Mediterranean from the Atlantic following her launch in 1977. This sortie confirmed that the Forger aircraft was operational from Kiev. The sortie is described in Chapter 4 of Winged Warriors – The Cold War from the Cockpit and the book also contains some of the photographs taken during this sortie.

He's flown Thirty sorties totalling 63 hours 35 minutes in WH779....
