I don't agree. The accident was caused by the inadvertent firing of the seat. The pilot died because the seat failed to function correctly. Both events need equal investigation.
If I drove into the back of another car and was killed because my airbag failed to deploy, the
accident was caused by me but I was killed as a result of the
airbag failure. The airbag failure wasn't the accident.
