The smartest thing Qantas could do (other than sacking Joyce) is to stop duplication infrastructure, staff, system, and aircraft, and kill the experiment that was Jetstar, and just have a single airline that is Qantas.
Joyce's relentless desire to punish the government for the "Qantas sale act" is yet another reason the airline is bleeding money.
Qantas will never be a "premium" airline, there is too much competition. Stop the sham before its too late.
