Its fairly obvious what will happen now. Abbott, who will not be panicked, or wedged, will probably go for the letting foreign investment, knowing full well that if he goes for the debt backing, every business from Micks workshop, to GMH will want a handout. And screams coming from Commerce, with the Oppositions backing. The Senate of course will immediately cancel foreign investment out, even if Labor realises Abbott is going to wedge them, and no doubt they already have, but then they have The Greens, and no way will they allow Foreign Investment. (They should never have married them) Then of course, Abbott will say, due to the Senate blocking, I have no choice but to back QF's debt, to keep the airline in the air, and remain as the National Carrier, for the sake of the security of the nation, blah blah, blocking commerce, (What can they say) and wedging Labor and The Greens, and as they plan to wedge him. Meanwhile the innocent, used as political prawns, can only hope, that they have a job next week. And to Joyce, and the Board who are the true cause of all the problems, hopefully Abbott makes it plain to them and the shareholders (who defy all reason, that they have accepted the excuses), manage it properly, and if you cannot, you're gone, and no more money.
