ey I know I'm not the smartest guy in the room, but.... I don't get either why a $250mill loss is such a big deal to a company sitting on a few billion cash. Its ONE aircraft. Barely.
You definitely aren't the smartest guy in the room. You seem to be confusing buying an asset for $250M with making a loss. When you buy an asset you expect to earn money from that asset for years to come. Qantas has nearly $20Bn worth of assets and its return on those assets was negative $250 million. Surely you get that this is terrible.
