The Australian Financial Review today reported that Alan Joyce, chief executive of Australia’s biggest airline, Qantas Airways, yesterday gave his support for the carbon tax proposed by Prime Minister Julia Gillard. The AFR quotes Mr Joyce as saying “We can understand the logic in the carbon tax and why the government regards it as a necessity – we’re convinced that all organisations should do whatever they can to reduce emissions”.
When it was politically convenient, AJ gave it, his full support.
