I am asking if aviation insurance companies are able to refuse to pay out even if the cause of an accident is nothing to do with the weight.
The short answer is yes.
After an accident, the insurance company will ask you for evidence that the flight was legal, including the aircraft docs, mass & balance, piot licence/currency, etc. and if there is anything illegal they
can refuse to pay.
