WRONG!!! Both President Bushes in the USA were qualified pilots and Winston Churchill learnt to fly in
1913!! On your own 'patch' Jan Smuts was very much involved in aviation. Of course the Afrikaner Nats and the African Nats understand sod all about aviation, so that is probably what you are talking about.

is in this week's Flight International with his 'four bars'! However, at least he
has a PPL! And as far as I am concerned, anyone who can fly a B707 can wear four bars if he likes (especially if he
owns the aeroplane!)!!
But then we should probably remember that this clown in the photograph above is just in 'fancy dress' and doesn't really affect the real world 'out there' in any way. He's good to laugh at though.
