I returned from a SO interview in Hong Kong a few weeks ago. Almost all of the candidates had between 3000- 5000 total hours most coming from turbo-props and a couple from jets.
Although I haven't signed any contract yet, it looks like I have the position. Cathay has a lot bigger fish to fry right now so I believe we are naturally the last priority and anticipate a lengthy wait to start training.
