OK, before the inevitable s***storm kicks off, is this an addition to the market with inbound non based or a move out of Prestwick?
Given the recent change in focus at Ryanair, it would be disappointing but not impossible to walk away from Ayrshire as they cease to be focussed entirely on price at the expense of everything. There's just about capacity on the old international pier at GLA for four based B737s, at a crush in the currently orange coloured "lounge" though.
Ryanair's DUB-GLA was 26 years ago, on a Ryanair Europe BAC-111 if I recall. It was DUB-PIK that showed what PIK could be but frequency and market share go hand in glove here and the B738 was wayyyyy bigger than the old B732.
Having maintenance at PIK then becomes no different from BA at Cardiff.
