So was Boeing Connex. I never actually used it on an airplane (did some ground demos) but understand it worked quite well. But they quickly discovered there was a huge gap between costs and revenue, and it would have taken much higher fees than most people were willing to pay to close the gap (~ $100/flight with ~50% usage IIRC). In short, it was far to expensive too ever pay for itself.
Perhaps they've learned from Boeing's mistakes. But I've never, ever seen a new product press release where they didn't claim their new product was the best thing imaginable and was going to be a huge success. Like I said, I take press releases with a grain of salt.
