I know it was way past its sell by date but it was a bit of a gem..The check in area was reminiscent of the inside of a flying club of the type you would find in a bygone era and the `business class` lounge in departures used by BA was like your maiden aunt`s chintzy front room circa 1948
not to mention the duty free cubby hole in the arrivals area complete with one solitary baggage belt.
Was due to be extended and completely refurbished until politicians egos took over and the £80m white elephant was built, serving less than the daily number of flights that Doncaster does
I`ll miss the old terminal, it had the charm of a bygone era and fitted well with GIB
