If I am correct don't Qantas get nearly all of the Public Service Travel ?
Hasn't for a long time. I travelled on the public dime from 2005- 2010 a half dozen times a year and was booked on DJ as often as I was booked QF. The only exception was that QF often had better connections for the time I wanted. That probably isn't the case so much these days given how many routes have been handed over to J*.
I don't read Joyce's recent comments re IR as a threat. As ngineer pointed out I think this is to remind the government that QF is not a Holden, SPC or Toyota and that QF have been doing some 'heavy lifting' of their own over the last few years.
It's all just chasing after the wind though. We'll see what end of February beings.
