Acquiring Canadian ATPL

Hi all

I'm considering getting a Canadian ATPL (Yes I do have the right to live and work in Canada).

I currently hold both EASA (UK issued) and FAA licences, both with current type ratings on Gulfstream G-V and Citation CE-500/550/560. I've got about 4800 hours, mostly on Boeings.

There appear to be two routes open to me, the IATRA process converting from my EASA licence and the FAA route, utilising my US credentials.

From what I can tell, the FAA route requires only 1 written exam, and I believe my type ratings will transfer over also to a Canadian ATPL.

Can someone tell me if this is correct - particularly about the ratings.
Any and all info on the process is greatly appreciated. Is there any specific advantage that I may not be aware of to either process?

Many thanks

Ian
