Well, we all have different experiences and lead different lives when in the UAE.
I was in Fujairah ATC for 3 and a half years, had a great time, left with my bucket of sh#t basically empty and my other bucket quite well filled thank you, for those of you that know the two buckets! ;-)
So I had no financial issues and was never out of pocket. Bought and paid for a new car whilst I was there and really enjoyed my time. Only left because my "home" job asked me to come back....
Fujairah may not suit everybody, but just like all work placements in the Middle East, it is what you make of it.
