It's a pretty pointless thing to argue over but I think the difference of opinion stems from the fact that we are not talking about a normal hub. We are discussing the "Flybe hub" and it is only MAN that is marketed and considered a hub. BHX and SOU are at present core airports. Your definition may stand if you are looking at any hub in its simplest terms but a marketed hub is a different thing.
