Thanks for the interesting link, amazing the things people will do for $5!, and calls into question even more pointedly, how useful review sites really are.
I suppose the old chestnut 'Caveat emptor' is something we all know about, but it is rather difficult to 'emptor' when the sellers site is full of lovely green stars telling you how good he is, carefully selected of course.
Perhaps one way of addressing the problem would be to require a seller to say how many of his last 100 reviews were 2 star or less......but then who would pay a review service that imposed those restrictions?......answers on a postcard perhaps.....( for emptor read caveat
