Nonsense. You just think you are further away/higher
above the ground, probably resulting in a firm landing. Profile's got nothing to do with it. 3° is 3° regardless of width.
Also, KPLK has MIRL and KBBG has HIRL
On a clear night I hardly think the M or the H would be in operation...
