Do the Math

In four years, Pan Am is expected to generate 168 jobs and a payroll of $7.25 million in Puerto Rico. It is also expected to invest $59 million in launching new service and $51.75 million in operational costs.

$7,250,000.00 payroll divided by 168 new employees
equals $43,154.76 divided by 4 years
equals $10,788.69 divided by 52 weeks
equals $207.47 divided by 40 hours
equals $5.19 per hour

If they decide to pay a station manager more than $5.19 per hour that means that the other employees will be making a lot less. You get what you pay for.
