Oman Air
They have a high turnover for expat pilots.
Oman Air do not really cater for expat pilots, they need you but don't want you.
Most expats leave once their 2 year contract is up. Also Muscat is a very expensive city, especially if you have kids. Dubai and Abu Dhabi and their respective airlines are better places for pilots with families.
If you are single, give it a go. If you have family and fancy the Middle East Etihad seem to be the best fit right now.
If you are single you have more flexibility and can jump on a plane on days off and head over to Europe, Thailand or other places. Overall I would say Omanair is good for single pilots, bad if you intend to take your family.
Emirates, Etihad and Qatar Airways all cater very well for the expat pilots. Mostly because they have expats running the airline. In Oman you will have locals running the show and their focus is employing as many Omanis as possible, so as an expat you become a 2nd class citizen.
I would only recommend going to the Middle East is the package you're offered is 3 times what you are making back home or in current employment. The way the market is going right now the Far East is becoming more attractive for pilots as it is cheaper to live there and the package they offer gives more value to the pilot and his/her family.
