unless it's a subtle Oz vs. UK vs. ICAO rules
ICAO rules (see Doc 9643 - Manual on Simultaneous Operations on Parallel or Near-Parallel Instrument Runways) specify different minimum runway separations that will permit independent parallel approaches, determined by the precision of available surveillance radar coverage.

I don't know whether the UK and/or Australia has filed any differences from the ICAO rules, but I suspect not.
