Perhaps the dates are too early but B.O.A.C. had a maintenance base there in the middle to late 40s and flew many of their Halton fleet to and from there also Lancashire Aircraft Company and a few other freight companies flew from there, but BOAC left in around 47-48 and most of the others faded away from there after the "Berlin Airlift "finished.
