No Al, what makes the rounds around the crew room quite often isn't the whole truth. I can tell you this for sure, there are over 50 guys from FR in my position. Obviously not with VS, but with resignation problems with FR. So I wasn't the only one to fall fowl of this problem. When you've worked for a respectable carrier in orange, I'm sure it's not that easy to understand what happens with a carrier of the calibre of fr. I'm sure we're not about to defend FR's practises?
I can assure you, my ME carrier was very thorough with references etc. But I can of course understand that this is a head ache VS just want to avoid I don't blame them. But to crack the news over the phone, and to point blank refuse a face to face meeting, seems a little harsh.
But like I said water under the bridge, really happy for those who got into an airline, I'm sure is great to work for.
