Apparently, things are going badly for Tunisair; yesterday, there was an emergency meeting at the Tunisian transport ministry. The Secretary General of the department told those present that the government could do nothing for the airlinee and would let it fail.
The airline has been heavily loss-making; traffic has been declining and the airline's could only continue to make a loss in 2013.
Tunis : C’est officiel, l’Etat lâche Tunisair, bientôt en cessation de paiement.
The airline has been in operation for over 60 years and has a modern fleet of A300s, 737-500s 737NGs and A32X series aircraft, some of them very new. Three A330s are also on order.
