It is not too many years since both GLA and EDI in their Master Plans indicated they would require parallel runways due to the projected increase in business! GLA certainly does not look like needing one but EDI are certainly getting pushed for capacity, perhaps to the extent where RYR find it too expensive for a 5 aircraft base. The obvious option is to return some of their northern Europe destinations back to PIK where they started.
