Why, O why do the movers use the grammatically and euphonically incorrect 'Sirs, Ma'ams, ladies and Gentlemen' when simply Ladies and Gentlemen would suffice?
The above statement came about because some Army Officer complained that Ladies and Gentlemen was not good enough. It does get a bit annoying when you are on the bus and get 'SML&G blah blah blah' only to get it repeated everytime the escort wants your attention.
