On completion of the full set of ATPL examinations, you have 3 years to gain a CPL/IR on gaining an IR these exam credits last a further 7 years, and then a further 7 years each time you renew your IR.. .. .As whether to do you ATPL first or hour build well, that's your choice. . .. .When you have taken your first exam (which may be a year into the course) you then have 18 months to get all the exams in.. .. .If you have all the hours needed to get a CPL but not the exams they will be a very big drag,. .. .On the other side if you have completed the exams you have the three year time limit ticking,. .. .You pays your money and takes your choice,. .. .Good Luck!
