As a follow on to a previous thread, here are the details of this scheme that I received in an Email this morning. I'm not sure if this belongs here in wannabes or private flying but since it might be a step up to gaining a CPL/IR/ATPL then this is where I'm putting it. So apologies to the moderators if this is in the wrong place.. .. .MW. .. .*************************************************. .. .Thank you for your Cadetship Application.. .. .Caernarfon Airparc is providing work experience for 6 months beginning Wed. .27 March 2002 until Monday 30 September 2002. The scheme will provide. .experience in all aspects of airport operations including a full 45 hour JAR. .PPL course.. .. .Successful applicants will be provided with accommodation, breakfast and. .midday meal. You will be expected to work a maximum 5 days of non flying. .experience, 1 day of flying experience and one rest day per week during the. .6 month period. Any additional time off will be at the discretion of. .Caernarfon Airparc Limited.. .. .If you wish to continue with your application you must attend a full day. .interview at Caernarfon Airparc on Sat 23 March 2002 starting 09:00hrs.. .. .On the interview day you should wear casual clothes (jeans, t-shirt or. .shirt, no skirts)and bring a full change of clothing. Your footwear should. .be comfortable and water resistant. Do not wear any jewellery including. .studs or rings (marital rings excepted). Bring a warm, water-resistant coat.. .. .There will be 4 stages to the interview. If you fail any stage your. .application will be cancelled. The successful cadets will be informed at the. .end of the day at 18:00hrs.. .. .Cadets succesfully completing section 3 will be requested to provide a. .cheque for £1000 and sign an agreement that if they are successful in. .section 4 and ARE selected they will commit to the cadetship.Unsuccesful. .cadets at the end of section 4 will have their bonds refunded immediately.. .Successful cadets completing the cadetship will have their bonds refunded at. .the end of the cadetship. IF YOU PROCEED TO SECTION 4 AND ARE SELECTED FOR. .THE CADETSHIP BUT THEN CANCEL YOU WILL FORFEIT YOUR BOND. .. .You will be given the opportunity to see the accommodation and type of work. .experience you will under take during the day and provided a Q and A session. .after section 3.. .. .The first stage will be the 'Air Law' exam as defined by the Ground. .Examinations for the JAR PPL, even if you have already passed this exam you. .must re-take it. There will be a charge of £15.00. Any person failing the. .pass mark of 75% will be disqualified from the selection procedure. The next. .3 stages will consist of practical and oral tests.. .. .Once you have been selected for the cadetship, early termination by a cadet. .forfeits the right to a refund. Early termination by Caernarfon Airparc Ltd. .will include a refund of the bond unless the cadetship is termintaed after. .one verbal and one written warning because the cadet has not performed. .duties as per the scheme to a satisfactory standard.
