From memory last year the first set of assessment days at Oxford were during the 2 weeks before Christmas but there were some after. The second days started in the first week of jan I think. I'm also pretty sure from the comments last year that Oxford were quicker to call people in than the others - which of course makes no difference in the long run as the top x% (not me
unfortunately) all have to go to waterside around the same time
